Prolonged rupture of membranes at term (>18 hours)

There is insufficient evidence for prophylactic antibiotics for term PPROM
In the absence of signs of infection, intrapartum antibiotics should not be administered to mother or baby, even if membranes have been ruptured for over 24 hours.
Intrapartum antibiotics for Group B strep prophylaxis should be considered where a combination of risk factors for GBS exists.
